By 1995, Mercedes-Benz had rightfully gained a reputation for reliability, robustness, and remarkable quality, and the then-new W210 was no exception. Born of the bloodline that gave us the W123 and W124, the former being the best-selling Mercedes-Benz at that point, the new E-Class had considerable shoes to fill.Stylistically, the new model broke away from its predecessors, with four oval headlamps and smoother, more rounded, styling, while keeping to the principles outlined by its creator, Mercedes-Benz design legend Bruno Sacco. Sacco was concerned with what he described as "horizontal homogeneity" and "vertical affinity", namely a cars relationship with the other models in the manufacturers line-up, and its relationship with the cars that precede and succeed it. In Saccos words, a Mercedes-Benz must always look like a Mercedes-Benz. It must also behave and perform like one; as such the W210 is a true Mercedes-Benz.This example presented Forest Green separates it from many of the others that were produced, and finding one of these with under 100,000 miles is a tall order, yet this example has covered just over 70,000 miles. While the wheels are original, they have been resprayed, and make the E-Class look even more subtle, if thats even possible. If youre on the hunt for a reliable, timeless, saloon car, this example - especially without reserve -could be your answer. Consigned by Charlie McCreery.
