Unveiled as part of BMWs New Class line-up, the BMW 2002 helped cement the brands reputation for building compact, driver-focused performance saloons. With its clean, purposeful two-door bodywork and lightweight monocoque construction, the 2002 combined everyday usability with spirited driving dynamics. The suspension and brake system have been overhauled to complement the engine performance with Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs, polybushes and larger ventilated front brake discs matched with four piston calipers. The drivetrain has also been improved with a five-speed overdrive gearbox, mated with a limited slip differential.The owner confirms that all electronics function as expected, and the driving experience is just as engaging and rewarding as the enhancements imply.
