Having purchased my new Audi A4 from Cars of Ferndown recently, I can't recommend this place enough. From initial contact to driving away, Chris made the entire process seamless. Genuinely felt like I had just bought the car from a friend rather than some random guy at a dealership. I put a deposit on a car on the basis it was advertised as 'full service history". A few days later I discovered that in the logbook section for the last service (40,000 miles) was only a hand-written entry under 'health check' (see photo); furthermore on contacting the company shown they could not find any record of the service and CofF did not have any supporting documentation. CofF dismissed my concerns saying the 40k and 50k services were only oil and filter change anyway. Being now unsure of the vehicle's service history I asked for my deposit back but this was refused and CofF said they had carried out additional work that I had requested - all I had asked was that they would carry out the 50k service which was due (the ad said the car would be serviced before delivery) and stamp the service history book with the service report. In addition the vehicle's brake discs looked very worn (appeared to have >1mm groove) - they had had an advisory at 40k MoT but somehow passed (without an advisory) the 50k MoT carried out by CofF. So I lost my deposit :-( IMO I would say advertising FSH given the above, is mis-selling. I'm sure there are many second-hand dealers worse than CofF which I would reserve ** or * for.
