UPGRADED INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
Purchased a Bentley, intial contact was great, the Salesman Sully was very informative. On collection, that’s when things started to go down hill. The vehicle was outside in the rain, so any inspection was pointless. The vehicle had just been serviced and MOT had just been done. Once I got home after ( 3 hour journey ) the car was dry, I noticed the paintwork was covered in light scratches and swirls and had been polished in some blue polish, in an effort to hide the scratches. I also noticed the screen had a chip in it, which wasn’t mentioned on the Mot. Also the brakes were squeaking the whole time. I mentioned the points to the salesman on the following working day. They suggested I bring the car back (6 hour round trip) for them to inspect. The chip they said could have happened any time, and the brakes will ‘clear up’ with use. After much negotiation they did pay towards a machine polish. The windscreen I had to repair at my own cost. The brakes have continued to squeak. I have taken the car to my local Bentley dealership who has informed me the they will all need replacing due to corrosion from it being standing previously, they also informed me this would have been present at point of MOT and sale. The Salesman has since left the company, and I have emailed the sales manager Phil Hamberger 6 times, and he is yet to reply, I have also left a message for him to call and still he hasn’t, hence finally having to leave a review, which I do with hesitation. I would not want anyone else to treated so poorly by a dealership. As with other reviews who have said the same, once they have your money they are not interested all. No common courtesy as to even reply to an email. Very poor show Bentley Chelmsford. If you are planning to buy a Bentley, I suggest you go elsewhere, where you are valued as a customer. I will be replacing my Bentley and will not be going back to Chelmsford. On a positive note, the service advisor Catherine was very helpful.

I visited Bentley Chelmsford last year as I started exploring the idea of purchasing a new Bentayga. Honestly, I expected the typical “high-end dealership” attitude—but Matthew Le Chevalier was the total opposite. Genuinely friendly, approachable, and incredibly generous with his time—not just with me, but also with my son, which is rare and truly appreciated. Even though I made it clear I wasn’t in a position to buy right away, Matthew still gave us his full attention without a hint of pressure. A real credit to Bentley and the kind of person who makes the experience special from the very beginning.

Bought a new Bentley Benteyga for my wife within a few weeks cut off on middle of motorway nearly caused an accident happened 4 times over a space of 2 weeks. Sent it Bentley Manchester who rang Chelmsford and was told in a round about way it not their problem. They all pretend to say their aftersales is fantastic and let me tell you far from it. I had to hire a car myself and pay for it myself. I will never buy another Bentley again it’s been the worst experience ever. No one has took any responsibility for the car. No aftersales follow up or anything. But very quick to take the money. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Amazing staff , my son who is 7 has a massive obsession with cars and he really wanted to see a Bentley & Lamborghini , the two gentleman who was working today were amazing with him , telling him all the facts about the cars and showing him inside , this has made my sons day if not year , thank you very much
