Vertu Dunfermline: paid cash for a pre-reg Dacia Spring Expression, having been reassured by two very pleasant sales staff (Laura and Gemma) that scheduled charging could be carried out through the MyDacia App. Great wee car, decent price. Then came the big problem: it's NOT possible to charge from the MyDacia App. Despite claims on Dacia and Vertu websites that scheduled charging is possible, that proves to be the case only for the Extreme version. We had a wall charger fitted 4 years ago for our Hyundai and it works a treat through the Bluelink App. Our charging options for the Dacia were to get up at 12.30am to start charging at cheap rate or use a very expensive public charge point. After some dialogue, we returned the car under the 14 day returns policy. Only alternatives offered were a return of the car or a new \xa3900 wall charger to which Vertu would contribute perhaps \xa3200-\xa3300. So we lost part of the road tax and an insurance cancellation fee, not to mention the many hours trying to resolve the situation. Very disappointing experience indeed. It is now 16 July and promised contact has yet to happen. I'd like to say I'm surprised... Well, the contact was received after my last edit. I was asked if I'd got our money back! A look at the screen would reveal the answer. No mention of compensation was offered. The reality is that we lost \xa3125.50 on this week-long venture due to the mysterious \xa320 that Vertu charges all customers to 'get the car road-ready', \xa332.50 road tax refund and and \xa373 loss on insurance cancellation. I will not add the trips we made to the showroom and time spent trying to figure out a charging process that doesn't exist. After conversation, Vertu has paid \xa3125 as compensation for our inconvenience. Certainly restored our faith. Thanks

The staff were very helpful in a tense situation with Dacia Finance which delayed my delivery by a week. I have sent a letter regarding this situation
