Citroen C4 2011 (61) - 1.6 HDi 16V VTR+ Euro 5 5dr

Arranged to view an automatic Nissan Micra. Obvious Major problems on test drive. Most were covered in video that I had to watch before making an appointment to view (red flag) but fair enough. I realised the car was no good. Whilst there I test drove and bought a 2012 Fiesta. Had to wait a week while they arranged for an MOT but was happy with my purchase. Then I arranged a major service by an independent and trustworthy mechanic, was told the car was not safe to drive due to oil leak which increased risk of engine fire and tyre skidding. Was told by Argentarii that the car required a small item to pass the MOT and this was covered by the dealer. The car 'passed' the MOT with no majors or minors despite this. Was told by subsequent mechanics the car should never have passed the MOT. Centre reported to DVSA. Warranty that came with car useless, did not cover fault. Argentarii finally acknowledged me on day 29 of 30 day return period saying he had arranged for collection of car - did not specifiy whether for refund or repair. By then I had forked out to make the car safe so I rejected. Dealer has ignored me since, despite law stating that between 30 - 60 days the dealer is obligated to repair fault. When selling me the car he replied virtually instantly to texts. Now I am being ghosted. I have been patient and more than fair. If you value your personal safety and that of your loved ones, please avoid this trader. If you buy from a trader insist that you receive a deposit receipt (I had a text message) and insist on full paperwork which specifies their legal obligations (I foolishlishly trusted the guy as he seemed 'nice') Will amend this review if things go positively, but dodgy MOTs, ghosting, unclear recovery intentions and a report that the car was dangerous just days after purchasing it do not bode well. Have collected evidence and documented thoroughly (have never had to do this from a trader before).

I bought a 2011 Mercedes 350cdi last year. It was a category N car which allegedly had been repaired following relatively minor front offside damage. To say the repair was poor would be a total understatement. The wrong bumper was put on and the front parking sensors and headlight washers were stuffed behind the bumper, So I had to replace the bumper and get the sensors working. The engine fan had been replaced with a faulty one so I had to buy a new one. When they sold me the car they told me they would pay for the fan but only paid me a small amount. One headlight was loose, which they did state in the advert but it was simply not bolted into place at all. I have no idea how the car managed to pass a mot which it was provided with just before I bought it.The steering rack had to be replaced because it had actually snapped in two. The garage who replaced it told me they had never seen one like it. The car felt very unsafe to drive. When I told them I wanted my money back they told me the car was sold as seen because it was a category N car, which I have since learned is not legal but prevented me from pursuing wanting my money back. I am a very experienced car buyer and have never had such a bad car or bad experience. I would never buy a car from this garage.

A little Christmas Story: My Wife's car broke down on New Years Eve '22 with some electronic problems as well as a completely messed up fuel injection system that needs time and money to fix. Because she needed a car to commute asap, I found this Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 Life for just under 2k. Lots of pictures and a video walkaround on YouTube showing every single scratch later I wrote a text message to Argentarii Cars on the Bank Holiday Monday, around 100 miles from home with the hope to somehow get an answer the next day. It only took five minutes for them to call me, explaining everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, about the vehicle and promising - after hearing about our urgency to get back on the road again - to deliver the vehicle within a week. So I bought it - unseen, with a little nervous belly grumbling in the background. And what can I say, its now two days later, the car is parked on my driveway, and its a superb runner. There where no surprises whatsoever with the vehicle, the service we received was absolutely outstanding. I got updated on every single step, including finding us a towing company on the day of sale for \xa375 below the average cost, got even picture updates when the vehicle was put onto the transporter this morning. I bought a lot of cars in my lifetime, some even unseen, but I had never experienced such a flawless, smooth and cared for transaction ever before. Five stars are the absolute minimum! I highly recommend this dealer, he'll really goes way and beyond for his customer(s), I cannot thank him enough for helping us with this purchase and I really wish them all the best for this business in the future - and will definitely look them up first should I need another vehicle again.
