Renault Clio 2008 - 1.6 Expression A 5dr

My experience started off a bit mixed but ended on a very positive note. I found the car on Auto Trader and arranged a viewing right away. Josh showed me the car, and I really liked it. However, I did notice some stains inside and a few scratches on the exterior. I later learned that they only address cosmetic issues after a deposit is placed, which wasn’t Josh’s fault but something to be aware of. When I was told the car had been sorted, I came back to complete the purchase. Unfortunately, the scratches hadn’t been properly dealt with and had been poorly touched up. Despite this, I decided to take the car as I urgently needed a vehicle as my current one was no longer roadworthy, but Josh and Adam were very apologetic. Even after the sale was finalised, Josh remained committed to resolving the issue. I brought the car back for the scratches to be redone and by the second time taking the car in, the job was done perfectly. You honestly can’t tell there were ever any scratches. Josh went above and beyond, even a month after purchase, to make sure I was happy with the car. Mechanically, the car has been great, I haven’t had any issues. The initial concerns were purely cosmetic, and they’ve now been fully addressed. What really stood out was the customer service. Josh was always friendly, easy to talk to, and took time to chat beyond just car talk. It’s clear they value customer relationships, not just sales. My one piece of advice for future buyers would be to make sure you're completely happy with the car’s condition before buying. That said, I’m happy with my purchase and don't regret it, it was fairly priced, came with a recent MOT and service, and I never felt pressured. Josh gave me the space and time I needed to decide.

Typical sales lot - they promise a 50 point vehicle inspection before sale but who knows what it entails - the one on my car certainly didn't uncover the non-functional air conditioning (which needs more than just gas to fix), the bonnet that sat 1 inch too far forward, or the loose trim in the interior that I had to fix on the drive home. The "full valet" before collection was just an exterior valet, interior still came with the previous owner's dog hair and mysterious sticky fluid in the centre compartment. Was misled on collection day, being told by my salesman that I could collect the car a certain day only to be told 2/3rds of the way down they couldn't give it to me that day. This was the one problem they did fix, which was greatly appreciated, but it was only fixed so they didn't have to offer me compensation. They did provide a full MOT with no advisories, but who knows how legitimate this was seeming as "thin brake pads' were advisories the last 2 years and yet no new pads were put on the vehicle. Love the car I bought, just wish I bought it from somewhere else so I didn't have "Cars Under 3000" plastered on my number plates making a car that was significantly more than \xa33000, look cheap EDIT Thanks for the reply but you've got the wrong car - I bought a Jaguar XF and live 100 miles away so these problems are not easily sorted. After I sorted a lot of the problems out on my own the car has been great, but I still feel as though the sale experience was lacking and repairing the air con will be an unknown cost for now as it's \xa390 just to find the leak and then however much more to fix it (not covered by the mandatory warranty, either!)
