2005 BMW X3 - 2.5i SPORT (6 SPEED MANUAL). PRIVATE PLATE INCLUDED (Can be removed upon request). Powered by the legendary, 189 bhp straight 6 petrol engine with 6 speed manual transmission. This is the desirable SPORT model complete with larger 18" alloy wheels, integrated SPORT bodykit and a luxurious full leather interior. The X3 was designed as a more compact alternative to the larger X5 and is based on the E46 BMW 3 series platform. That means it shares the E46's agile handling and smooth ride, but with the added benefit of 4 wheel drive and that elevated driving position we love in an SUV. The silky smooth, 2.5 litre straight 6 power plant is one of THE GREATEST engines of all time - It sounds beautiful and is as smooth as they come - and this example is certainly in very fine form with plenty of power throughout the rev range. These high-quality SUV's are well built, comfortable and very practical, being a proper 3 seater with a generous loadspace which totals 480 litres with the rear seats in place and can be increased even further by folding the 70/30 split rear seat flat. Our X3's load area is in excellent condition and has its original rear load cover in place and fully intact. Privacy glass to the rear 3/4 give an added dimension of security to keep prying eyes away from expensive items in the boot. The X3 was designed to be a drivers car as well as a family friendly SUV - In fact BMW marketed this car as a SPORTS ACTIVITY VEHICLE (SAV). BMW's chassis is absolutely the best in the business and craves power for an entertaining drive - No other car of this typre handles as well as an X3! Along with a straight 6 powerplant comes a gorgeous sound track - It is smooth and purposeful at low revs, becoming shrill and sweet sounding as the revs rise and the power increases. The 6 speed manual in this car is glorious to use and the whole drive train feels tight and unworn with no rattles, clunks or squeeks - Just smoothnes, silence and the opulence you get in a quality car. The X3 is a relaxing car to pilot on a long journey, soaking up the miles with ease, with cruise control for effortless high speed motorway cruising. Both inside and out our X3 is in fantastic condition. It has only done just 107k miles and it still looks and performs like new. The metallic red coachwork has a deep, glossy shine and is free from dents and scratches. Inside this has to be one of the best examples I have seen with the full black leather showing very little sign of wear. This high spec example has heated front seats for additional comfort and ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING. The driving position is very similar to that on a 3-series and has always been one of my favourites with virtually no wheel arch intrusion meaning you are able to sit dead straight with no off-set to the pedals. Of course, in the X3 the higher ride height means you also get a fantastic view of the road and rear passengers will also benefit from the additional sense of space you get in this car. BMW's constant drive for perfection in every detail of their cars. You insert the key and press the straight 6 engine barks into life and settles to a smooth, near silent idle. This 2.5i SPORT model offers smooth power delivery along with the beautiful sound from the straight 6 engine which is the perfect companion for cruising - you cannot help but enjoy every moment behind the wheel. The 0-60 mph sprint takes just 8.6 seconds and the X3 will go on to a maximum 129mph. But, where the X3 really sets itself apart from its rivals is in the way it handles. The turn in is sharp and responsive with handling further aided by cornering brake control and BMW's Dynamic stability control. With perfect weight distribution, all-wheel drive and an advanced traction control system to keep the power in check, the X3 is not just great fun, but also superbly safe and predictable. Pete at Ashton's cars was a joy to deal with from start to finish. There is an integrity to this business they you don't get from the big car supermarkets. They trust the cars they are selling and their preparation for you is fantastic. The car we bought (a Mini which they specialise in) was MOTed , with all advisories resolved, serviced and cleaned and delivered to our door. He allows a full test drive , even pointing out some of the issues with the car. And with a generous guarantee on purchase, not sure why you would look elsewhere for a second hand car!!! Thank you Pete, you made my son smile again after a horrendous couple of weeks losing a car and getting an understanding that there are some absolute vultures out there in the car sales world.

Recently purchased a vehicle from Ashton cars from the Newbridge site. Peter was a pleasure to deal with and not at all pushy. After viewing the car, we took it for a test drive and I fell in love with it immediately. I brought along a friend who is a mechanic and he gave the vehicle a once over before I went ahead with the purchase. I paid a small deposit and Peter had the car serviced and delivered to me within two days. He also gave me a very fair price on my Hyundai i30 which I part exchanged. I've contacted Peter twice since purchasing with minor issues and he's resolved things for me immediately. He always returns my calls and seems motivated by customer satisfaction. Excellent service from Peter and from his mechanic. Would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from Ashton cars. Updating my review for Ashtons cars as I've had the car almost a year and it's been absolutely wonderful. In fact, the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned!

Bought a beautiful car at a reasonable price. Pete could see I wanted to take the car on the day and the MOT had not yet been done however, was valid until February 2024. Due to difficulties in getting back to the workshop, Pete suggested I get the MOT done more locally. I did this and the car required minor work such as brake calliper’s etc.. Ashton car sales kept their word and covered the cost with no hesitation. My mechanic stated that apart from the minor wear and tear with the brakes, the vehicle was in mint condition. Amazing costumer service, very professional. Should I need a new car, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Ashton car sales.
