so why are carstogo getting a one star review? Purchased a VW Touareg back August 3rd first issue got home and noticed part of drl was not working on headlight. Messaged Nichola a few times about issue and was told one would be ordered and sent to me as ii was happy to have it fitted. But, before that was sorted I had an engine management light come on, diagnosed as injector failure. This came on within the three months warranty period. Messaged Nichola who gave me Chris's number during first conversation he asked if I had taken out a extended warranty which I had not. The next day I phoned and got to speak to Chris and was told he would not pay for injector as comes under wear and tear (over \xa3400 fitted) during the same conversation I asked when headlight would arrive? It hadn't been ordered. I had found one on Ebay for \xa3600 and agreed to pay \xa3200 towards cost. Chris offered \xa3250 which I accepted as I didn't think I would get anymore. He also told me I should have purchase an extended warranty but, after thinking about the outcome, I was not happy so phoned Citizen's Advice who advised he was in breach of contract under consumer rights act 2015. They also gave me a link to draft a letter stating this, so did that, sent one to Chris and one to Carstogo. I then received a message from Chris stating how he would not pay for injector, its a wear and tear item and was not present at time of purchase also had no idea how vehicle had been treated. I'm a 58 year old man not a boy racer. He then ended message with feel free to take this further if you feel the need only by email so I can forward it to my legal team. Do not message me on my private phone again. Which I thought this came across as aggressive and not prepared to negotiate about the issue. I have had a second injector failure which I emailed Nichola about who replied with wear and tear and would not be paid for. I offered to split the cost but they no longer reply to my emails. So just beware if you buy a car from Carstogo and have a problem they will flaunt your rights and hide under the banner of wear and tear.
