My experience at Vertu Renault Exeter was positive because the staff were very friendly, helpful and eager to please, especially Dan who looked after my purchase, from test drive to picking up the vehicle. They all knew their subject & explained everything thoroughly. The test drive was great and the follow up was just as comprehensive. The paperwork was simple to understand and explained thoroughly. The showroom was welcoming and comfortably equipped, with facilities to make drinks, which were offered regularly. Highly recommended.
I would not recommend Vertu Renault Exeter because my post-purchase experience with the dealership was far from satisfactory. Having bought the vehicle through Tilly, who was very helpful and I couldn't fault her with her customer service, the vehicle came with parts of the interior still wet from the valet, and some parts still dirty despite supposedly being valeted (the handbrake, indicator stick, key holder pot in the central divide, and gear stick). Upon receiving the car, the tyre pressure light was on and the wheel alignment was out which I and my partner had noticed when driving it for the first time. Later that day, I contacted Vertu Renault Exeter for the first time regarding this issue, and spoke to Ryan who had said that I would receive a call back later that day from my local dealership regarding getting it booked in to resolve this issue. I did not receive a phone call back, so got in contact with Renault Exeter again the next day to ask the same question, and nobody was available to take my call and I was meant to receive a call back that same day, and I never received one. This occurred again the next day, upon which we decided that it would be better if we went to our local Vertu dealership to ask if they had received anything from Renault Exeter - they had not. We then called Renault Exeter the next day to ask why they had not been in contact with our local Vertu dealership, and George (the manager), apologised that they hadn't and said that he would be in contact with them that day and that I should receive a call from them to book an appointment on their next working day. Again, I never received a phone call. This back and forth continued for 3 more days, of either not getting through to someone and never getting a call back, or getting through to someone and them not calling you back, or not getting in contact with my local Vertu dealership. We gave up trying to go through Renault Exeter, went down to our local Vertu, and they booked us in straight away for the next week. After this, I called Renault Exeter to let them know that I had done this, and that I was let down by their services after buying the car - they apologised profusely, and paid for the wheel alignment and issues to be sorted.
