Mazda MX-5 2005 (05) - 1.8 Arctic Limited Edition 2dr

Avoid like its the plague!!! If possible I wouldn't give any stars, purchased a Renault scenic and 2 weeks later there was problems, told them and gave them the opportunity to fix, told me it was fixed a few days later, lights had gone on dash and then 5 miles later problem resumed, took it to a garage and it was a DPF fault, 3 garages i had taken it too could not fix the problem. Unfortunately this could not be fixed by anyone BUT Capital Cars are too lazy to have any checks done before selling cars on. Yes I get it they are used cars expect interior wear ect but not mechanical issues. Anyway, ended up telling them that we know what our rights are, either they fix the car, if the car can't be fixed we are entitled to a refund or anothe car. They don't like the word "refund" because its has to go through legal channels and "too long" but gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided on another car. 3 months down the line car breaks down ends up needing a gear box, had to go through it all again, opportunity to be fixed or refund/exchange, the head office wouldn't pay for the gear box change unless we paid some towards it aswell, ideally that's not how it should work but we did it anyway as we certainly wasnt getting another car from them. Steve was getting angry on the phone because the warranty company he set us up with wouldn't help but then Steve said they will help, ended up backwards and forwards, Steve was getting angry at customer (me). Maybe stop selling cars full stop or as a company buck your ideas up, get your cars checked out for any mechanic issues, spend some money getting them fixed and then sell them. Its common sense. All the 5 star reviews ive seen they must have got lucky. AVOID AVOID AND AVOID!!!! Anyone that buys from here make sure you know your rights. Also you have a right to reject within 30 days of purchase, Any problems within 6 months of purchase, the company HAVE to either fix, refund or exchange and only get one chance at this. Consumer rights act 2015.
