Austin Healey 1961 - 2-Door

Finished in Jaguar Opalescent grey metallic with a red interior, this is a 1961 Austin Healey Sprite MK2. It was fully restored from 2020 to 2023 utilising a genuine UK 1959 Frogeye bodyshell, which is all steel with a fibreglass bonnet. Sills, floor pans, rear bulkhead, boot floor, front footwell panels were all replaced, and the original rear shroud and rear wings were fitted with repair panels butt welded in so there are no overlapping welds. A-pillars were replaced with new hinge panels, and the doors needed minimal repairs. The bucket seats were re trimmed in red to match the dashboard and carpets, and 3 point red harnesses added for the finishing touch. Sidescreens have been rebuilt with new Perspex and rubber seals. The gearbox is a rebuilt ribcase 1275 unit, fitted with the modified front oil seal plate. Rear axle is a 4.22 unit, with new brake shoes, hoses and silicone fluid. The clutch and slave cylinder were also renewed. The engine is a 1275cc unit bored +60 with Omega pistons, 731 camshaft, new bearings, vernier timing gear, gas flowed high compression cylinder head, gas flowed carburettors and inlet manifold and a Maniflow exhaust manifold.The hood has been replaced and the car is fitted with minilite replica alloys, LED indicators and halogen headlamps. The suspension system has been fully rebuilt using Polybushes, and the car is fitted with an uprated front anti-roll bar.The car looks fantastic and drives superbly.
