Pete at Ashton's cars was a joy to deal with from start to finish. There is an integrity to this business they you don't get from the big car supermarkets. They trust the cars they are selling and their preparation for you is fantastic. The car we bought (a Mini which they specialise in) was MOTed , with all advisories resolved, serviced and cleaned and delivered to our door. He allows a full test drive , even pointing out some of the issues with the car. And with a generous guarantee on purchase, not sure why you would look elsewhere for a second hand car!!! Thank you Pete, you made my son smile again after a horrendous couple of weeks losing a car and getting an understanding that there are some absolute vultures out there in the car sales world.

Recently purchased a vehicle from Ashton cars from the Newbridge site. Peter was a pleasure to deal with and not at all pushy. After viewing the car, we took it for a test drive and I fell in love with it immediately. I brought along a friend who is a mechanic and he gave the vehicle a once over before I went ahead with the purchase. I paid a small deposit and Peter had the car serviced and delivered to me within two days. He also gave me a very fair price on my Hyundai i30 which I part exchanged. I've contacted Peter twice since purchasing with minor issues and he's resolved things for me immediately. He always returns my calls and seems motivated by customer satisfaction. Excellent service from Peter and from his mechanic. Would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from Ashton cars. Updating my review for Ashtons cars as I've had the car almost a year and it's been absolutely wonderful. In fact, the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned!

Bought a beautiful car at a reasonable price. Pete could see I wanted to take the car on the day and the MOT had not yet been done however, was valid until February 2024. Due to difficulties in getting back to the workshop, Pete suggested I get the MOT done more locally. I did this and the car required minor work such as brake calliper’s etc.. Ashton car sales kept their word and covered the cost with no hesitation. My mechanic stated that apart from the minor wear and tear with the brakes, the vehicle was in mint condition. Amazing costumer service, very professional. Should I need a new car, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Ashton car sales.

This 2013 116d SE combines an enviable specification with the dependable and frugal 2 litre diesel engine, This is one of the most frugal BMWs you can buy with cheap road tax and 60+mpg. This model of 1 series was launched in 2012 and offers a sporty look, inspiring drive and excellent level of standard equipment. It is a model that ran until 2019 with only minor revisions, and it has aged incredibly well, especially when finished in bright red like this one. Most importantly these F20 model of 1 series is the final incarnation of the baby Beemer to be rear-wheel drive. That means you get the tradition BMWS driving experience, which is something to be savored - Nobody does it better! Like all BMW's, this car is well built, comfortable and practical. The long nose and muscular lines give the car a ground hugging stance with distinctive alloy wheels which ensure the compact 1 series has a menacing and sporty look. Our car is finished in a bright red which is among the best colours to carry off this sporting image. Inside there is a comfortable and well equipped interior with air-conditioning and a speed limiter function. Of course it is also highly practical with 5 seats and a decent boot. On a combined cycle BMW claim an average of 65 mpg and we managed just shy of 60mpg on our real world test drive - Not bad for a car that has covered 143k miles, but also not surprising as these cars handle the miles well and this one shows barely any sign of wear. HOW DOES IT DRIVE? They don't label themselves "The ultimate driving machine" for nothing!! BMW are most famous for being a superb drivers car. The 1 series may be compact, but is in every way a true BMW and is rear wheel drive, making it ride and handle much better than its rivals and giving it a far more inspiring drive. You sit in supportive, yet comfortable seats with a sporty 3 spoke steering wheel which has a tactile feel. Our 1 series has push button start, and even before you press the start button you get a sense of power and control. The driving position on a 1-series has always been one of my favorites with virtually no wheel arch intrusion meaning you are able to sit dead straight with no off-set to the pedals. This uncompromised driving position is typical of BMW's constant drive for perfection in every detail of their cars. Press the "start" button and the 2 litre turbo diesel power-plant settles to a smooth, quiet idle. This is a fast and responsive car - 0-60 mph takes just 10 seconds with a top speed of 124 mph. The turn in is sharp and responsive with the taut chassis being aided by cornering brake control and BMW's DTC stability and traction control along with responsive ABS brakes. With perfect weight distribution, rear wheel drive and an advanced traction control system to keep the power in check, the 116d strikes a perfect balance, being great fun but also superbly safe and predictable.
