Electric SUVs are dominating Britain’s roads, with an endless range of different offerings.
They provide zero tailpipe emissions, along with jacked-up driving positions, spacious interiors and big boot capacities.
The cars on this list are great to drive, good-looking, come packed with lots of equipment and provide decent claimed electric ranges. Plus, all are available through Cazoo.
So, if you’re in the market for one of these electric family wagons, which ones make the best used buys?
Skoda Enyaq
One of the best electric SUVs on the market goes to the Skoda Enyaq for being a practical, affordable and great all-rounder.
It’s available as an SUV or a sleek coupe, while there is a choice of a 59kWh battery with an electric motor to provide a claimed range of 268 miles on a single charge. Plus, there is a larger 77kWh unit that can provide a claimed 359 miles between top-ups.
The Enyaq comes with lots of interior space, while there are several of Skoda’s ‘Simply Clever’ features dotted about the place such as a parking ticket holder on the windscreen and ice scraper in the boot.
The Enyaq also drives very well, and there is the option of an all-wheel drive version with dual motors to provide more traction.
Expect to pay just under £18,000 for a two-year-old example with the smaller battery pack that’s covered less than 20,000 miles. But, if you want a 77kWh car, look to spend around £26,000.

Hyundai Ioniq 5
Is it a hatchback? Is it an SUV? Well, whatever it claims to be, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is one of the best EVs on the market to carry your family in.
The Ioniq 5 comes with a vast amount of interior space, while the completely flat floor makes it extremely comfortable for rear-seat passengers to travel in.
All models come with a vast amount of standard equipment, and the Ioniq 5 handles well, it’s refined and manages to be entertaining and composed around the twisty bits.
There is a choice of battery options too, with the entry-level car coming with a 58kWh unit and electric motor to provide a claimed range of up to 274 miles on a single charge, while the larger 84kWh battery is available with single and dual motor setups to provide a claimed range of up to 354 miles between trips to the plug.
Prices for used examples start at around £19,000 for a two-year-old 58kWh car with less than 20,000 miles on the clock. However, if you want the larger 84kWh battery, you’ll have to spend around £26,000.

BMW iX
It may have controversial looks, but there’s no denying that the BMW iX is a great electric SUV, on account for many reasons.
It drives much more like a normal car than its sheer size would suggest, plus there is acres of interior space and a choice of battery packs are on offer.
There is a smaller 71kWh unit with an electric motor that provides a claimed range of up to 264 miles, and there is a much larger 105.2kWh battery with dual motors that can provide a claimed range of up to 383 miles.
The iX also packs a 500-litre boot capacity, or 1,750 litres with the rear seats folded down, to make this a very practical option.
Used prices start at £34,500 for a 71kWh car with less than 20,000 miles on the clock, while a 105.2kWh example with low mileage will set you back £48,000.

Kia EV9
Kia’s EV9 is one of the most sophisticated and capable family electric SUVs on the market today.
It may be big, but that adds to its versatile nature, with a choice of seven and six-seater interior layouts, the EV9 is all about providing enough space as well as comfort.
To drive, despite its 2.6 tonne kerbweight, the EV9 handles incredibly well and doesn’t feel too heavy behind the wheel. Sure, it’s no sports car, but what the EV9 delivers when it comes to the driving experience is more than acceptable for a car in this class.
There is just one battery pack on offer, which is a 99.8kWh battery with a single electric motor, which gives a claimed range of up to 349 miles on a full charge.
Residual values are strong, with two-year-old cars on the market for £48,000 with 25,000 miles on the clock.

On the smaller side of the electric SUV segment is the Volvo EX30, which is the most compact SUV in the Swedish firm’s model line-up.

The EX30 is also practical with lots of interior space, and comes with a decent amount of standard equipment.
There are two battery options on offer, with the smaller 49kWh unit providing a claimed range of up to 209 miles on a single charge, or the larger 64kWh battery that can take the car up to 296 miles.

Hyundai Kona Electric
A direct rival to the Volvo EX30 is the Hyundai Kona Electric which is a great compact electric SUV.
The Kona Electric looks good, has a well-screwed together cabin and is available with a choice of battery options.
The smaller 48.4kWh battery with an electric motor setup can travel a claimed distance of 234 miles between trips to the plug, while the larger 65.4kWh unit can take the car up to 318 miles on a single charge.
Also, all Kona Electrics come with a five-year or 100,000-mile warranty when new, so an example that is less than five years old will still have some of the manufacturer’s warranty remaining.
Second-hand prices are tempting, with a 2024 car on the market that has covered less than 5,000 miles, priced at £19,520. Examples with the larger battery start at around £21,000.
