The luxury SUV market has grown in recent years, and that means there are several available on the second-hand market.

Whether you’re looking for a long-distance cruiser, a practical family workhorse or just want a luxurious and capable SUV, the cars on this list can do it all.

They all have a premium image, come with lots of standard toys, have capacious interiors and are all available through Cazoo.

So, with that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the best second-hand luxury SUVs on the market.

Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 is a practical and well-built premium SUV that has been around for two decades.

The Q7 packs seven seats, it comes with lots of standard equipment and is available with a choice of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

With all of the seats in place, there is a total of 295 litres of space, or 780 litres with the third row of chairs stowed away, making this an extremely practical proposition if you’re looking for a luxury SUV.

The Q7 also provides a supple ride and refined cabin, to make it an excellent long-distance cruiser if you plan to go on holiday with your family.

Prices for second-hand examples start from around £31,800 for a four-year-old diesel example that’s covered 46,000 miles, or £38,500 for a 34,000-mile petrol model.

The BMW X5 is all about offering a premium-feel, with a sporty driving experience.

Under the bonnet, there is the option of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines, which are all efficient and frugal.

Inside, the X5 can accommodate average-sized adults and there are lots of handy storage cubby holes dotted about the place.

In the back, there is a total boot capacity of up to 650 litres and 1,870 litres when the rear bench is folded down, to make this a very practical option for you and your family.

Look to spend around £31,600 for a 2021 plug-in hybrid example that’s covered 43,000 miles, and £38,400 for a 38,000-mile diesel car.

BMW iX

One of the best electric luxury SUV offerings also comes from BMW, with the iX.

The iX may not be the prettiest car on our roads, but if you take into account what it can do, this is one of the best electric SUVs that money can buy.

The iX is great to drive, and despite its sheer 2.5-tonne kerbweight, it feels a lot more agile on a twisty road. It also provides a vast amount of interior space, and all models come packed full of technology and equipment.

Under the bonnet, there is a choice of two battery packs, with the smaller 71kWh unit taking the car a claimed 264 miles, while the larger 105kWh car can achieve a claimed 377 miles, making it a lot easier to travel long distances.

Prices start at £31,600 for a low mileage 71kWh car, and rise to around £43,000 for the larger 105kWh battery model.

Land Rover Defender

The king of off-roaders and premium badges goes to the Land Rover Defender.

The Defender may have a rough and tough image, but it still packs plenty of creature comforts to make it a worthy contender on this list.

Under the bonnet, there is the option of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid setups, while the interior is packed full of space and there is the option of different leather upholsteries and seat materials.

The Defender also comes with air suspension, which does a great job of making the car obtain a more comfortable ride out on the open road, to make it much more comfortable when you’re not doing any mud-plugging.

Look to spend around £41,000 for a ‘P300’ petrol model with five doors, or if you want one of the diesel variants, they come in at around £44,500 for a 2021 car with 46,000 miles on the clock.

Plus, there is a choice of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines to suit a wide range of buyers, for different kinds of budgets.

If you want a second-hand one, petrol models will set you back £45,700 for a 2021 ‘Vogue’ model that’s covered 33,000 miles. But, if you want one of the diesels, then you’ll have to pay around £38,000 for a 47,000-mile 2020 car.
