Ford Transit Courier 2019 (69) - 1.5 TDCi Trend Van [6 Speed]

Absolute chancers, rung about a van they posted on eBay and there website was a lovely van for such a cheap price which rings alarm bells anyway but rung them they said it’s all fine we will send you a video of it running etc I said if you do I will buy immediately and make the 800mile round trip to get it no problem, didn’t get any video of it running so rung back the next day no answer then tried the other number and he said they’ve been really busy he will do it, another day went and they took it off there website and eBay and blocked my number? I then rang them off a different number he answered immediately and said yes sorry it’s still for sale I’ll send the video to your original number and never did, never heard anything from them since, very weird and strange behaviour, luckily I didn’t send a deposit because I don’t think I would get it back.

Absolutely disgusting attitude. Shouting down the phone and threatening me with court. I emailed to say major issue with gearbox (Van advertised as great condition, full history, good running). Wanted to be amicable and resolve it sensibly. Got money off the sale as he could not provide service history to prove timing chain. (Now he's claiming discount because of gear grind...) Yes, I did drive it round the estate at low speed. Yes, 2nd gear did sometimes grind. He drove it too and it also did the same. I guessed it might be the selector cables as not familiar with the van and was assured it was a good running van. Asked at point of payment if there was a warranty. "Yes, 30 days". Since then discovered that rear doors cannot lock, 2nd key isn't even for that van, rear brakes bind and grind, gearbox is probably on it's last legs and driver seat belt broken and several other issues. Great, a van that you can't safely use or even park in the street securely. Van listing taken down... Oh well, just as well I screen shot it... ...meanwhile, I'm off to trading standards...
