Cazoo appoints Veronica Sharma as Group Chief People Officer

Cazoo, the UK’s leading online car retailer, which makes buying your next car as simple and seamless as purchasing any other product online, today announces that it has appointed Veronica Sharma as its first Group Chief People Officer.

Veronica has most recently been working as an advisor in the technology and private equity space. Prior to that, Veronica was Group Chief People Officer at Photobox & Moonpig Group where she led a large-scale cultural transformation across Europe. She has been instrumental in pioneering progressive people solutions, demonstrated through her responsibility for Talent & Organisation Development at eBay and leading the change programme in support of the landmark Heathrow Terminal 5 opening.

Over the past 12 months the Cazoo team has grown fourfold, from less than 500 to over 2,000 people across the UK and Europe. Veronica will take up her role in August when she will join the Cazoo Executive team and report directly to Founder & CEO, Alex Chesterman OBE and will be responsible for all leadership, culture, capability and talent management across the group.

Cazoo is pioneering the shift to online car buying in Europe and since being founded in 2018, has sold over 25,000 cars to consumers across the UK who have embraced the selection, transparency and convenience of buying quality used cars entirely online.

Cazoo owns and reconditions all its cars before offering them for sale for either delivery or collection in as little as 72 hours. Already the leading online car retailer in the UK, Cazoo is also Europe’s leading consumer car subscription player with over 6,500 subscribers across the UK, France and Germany.
