It features dynamic guidelines to help with steering and distance judgment, helping drivers park more accurately, avoid obstacles, and improve safety when reversing. The camera is typically low-profile and can be fitted into the boot release handle, often with a cleaning system for the lens. Škoda rear sensors, also known as Park Distance Control, are a system of ultrasonic sensors integrated into the rear bumper that help drivers park by detecting obstacles behind the vehicle. They work by emitting sound waves that bounce off objects, and the system uses the time it takes for the waves to return to calculate the distance to the obstacle. The driver receives alerts through escalating beeping sounds from a speaker and/or graphical warnings on the infotainment screen, with faster beeps and red visual indicators signaling a closer proximity to an object. Škoda's Adaptive Cruise with Traffic Jam Assist is an advanced driver-assistance system that combines Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Assist Plus to automate low-speed driving in heavy traffic, including braking, accelerating, and even gentle steering to keep the car centred in its lane. This system makes stop-and-go traffic more comfortable by managing the vehicle's movement to follow the car ahead, with the driver needing to keep their hands on the wheel to maintain control and be ready to intervene.
