I recently purchased a Ford Transit Custom SWB from Vanbase Bristol, and while the overall experience was positive, there were a few bumps worth mentioning. After travelling over 5½ hours to collect the van, I was disappointed to face an unexpected delay of around 20 minutes due to a pricing issue. The vehicle had a “Van Club” package already included in the price—something that hadn’t been explained beforehand. I was nearly charged an additional £200–£300 on top of the agreed price, which was frustrating after such a long journey. Thankfully, the manager stepped in and had the charge removed, but it did take the edge off what should’ve been a smooth handover. That said, the van itself was prepped to a high standard, and Ella was fantastic throughout—friendly, professional, and clearly committed to customer service. I’d just recommend Vanbase make the Van Club inclusion clearer upfront, as I imagine this catches a lot of buyers off guard. Overall, I’m pleased with the vehicle and grateful to the team for resolving the issue. Thanks again.
