Fitted with overdrive. The 1968 Volvo 1800S is a classic Swedish sportscar known for its elegant design and robust engineering. Featuring a 2.0 litre inline-four engine producing around 115hp, it offered a smooth, reliable driving experience. Built in Sweden, the 1800S had refined styling updates from earlier models and a reputation for longevity. With its distinctive curves, chrome accents, and comfortable interior, the 1968 1800S remains a favourite among collectors for its timeless style and dependable performance.This stunning 1800s is a strong contender as the finest example of the model we have ever seen. With restoration invoices totalling more than £38,000 and a further £10,000 spent on parts, it is easy to see why. Works included rebuilding the gearbox, braking systems and fitting of all new suspension bushes and components. Originally registered in July 1968, this impeccable example presents wonderfully in gleaming red coachwork with contrasting black seats, original red carpets, new boot trims and rubber boot matting. Even the engine bay is in good order. This Pietro Frua designed classic features classic Italian styling cues and is described by some as the most beautiful Volvo of all time.
