Just two previous keepersOriginal service books confirming the low mileageThe Rover Mini Mayfair is a charming representation of one of Britains most iconic small cars. By the early 1990s, the Mini had already been on the road for over three decades, but it remained immensely popular thanks to its unmistakable styling, nimble handling, and enduring character. The Mayfair trim was introduced as a more refined version of the classic Mini, offering drivers a touch of comfort and style while retaining the quirky personality that made the car a cultural icon. Externally, the Mayfair kept the familiar compact proportions, measuring just over ten feet long, with short overhangs and a boxy yet playful silhouette. Its small size made it perfect for city driving, allowing easy manoeuvrability and parking in tight spaces. The Mayfair was distinguished by additional chrome trim, body-coloured mirrors, and stylish wheel trims that elevated its appearance compared to more basic models. Under the bonnet, the car was powered by a 998cc A-series four-cylinder engine, producing modest power but delivering enough punch for urban use. With a four-speed manual gearbox, the Mayfair was never about outright speed, but its lightweight construction and sharp steering made it lively and fun to drive, particularly around corners where it displayed legendary Mini agility. Inside, the Mayfair offered an upgraded cabin with features that emphasised comfort. Plush velour seats, walnut-style dashboard trim, and improved sound insulation gave it a more premium feel compared to entry-level Minis. Despite its small size, clever packaging meant four passengers could squeeze inside, and folding rear seats offered a degree of practicality.Originally registered on 24th September 1993, this Mini presents well in red with grey velour interior and wooden dashboard. Supplied by Hadley Rover in Basingstoke and having covered less than 17,000 miles from new, this Mini Mayfair has only had two previous keepers. The original service books are supplied, as are a V5 registration document, together with an MoT test certificate valid until 19th August 2026. It runs well and is reported to drive with no known faults. Today, the 1993 Rover Mini Mayfair is celebrated as a classic, combining timeless design with a unique driving experience. It represents the final years of the original Mini before BMWs modern reinterpretation, making it a cherished piece of automotive history. Consigned by Stewart Banks.
