Ford Escort 1976 - Saloon

1 Previous Owner, Ford Escort Mk2 fitted with a 2.0 Pinto engine. Imported in 2021 and fully UK registered. We originally sold this and just took it back as a trade in. The last owner has spent a few quid making it useable and done a few car events with it in the summer. It starts runs and drives but their is room for improvement cosmetically. This car started life as a basic model its not a Sport.Body - Early Mk2 Escort 2 door shell with the larger hole strut tops. Good inner wings, strut tops, bulkhead, pillars, sills, rear arches. Floors are original. Will need a couple of very minor repairs on front floors. Spare wheel well will also need a repair. Its previously been done but needs sorting out. Bit of bubbling on door bottoms. Paintwork is useable but no show winner for sure. Bit of DIY blow in on bottom of osr quarterMechanics - 2.0 pinto fitted with steel sump. Starts no problem.On initial start up you get a puff of smoke then clears. 4 speed gearbox fitted. Brakes and clutch are good. Alternator seems weak and battery light stays on at tick over but goes out when you rev it. Theres another one with the car. It looks like new front calipers fitted. Alloy radiator, serviced, new leads, timing belt, oil and filter doneInterior - Sport dash fitted. Door cards have previously had speakers fitted and have had a patch put on. Dash top been recovered. Seats been recovered. All useable but could do with upgrading. Good OMP steering wheel. Wheels - Powdercoated Capri Laser wheels with very good 175/70/13 tyresThis is a car you can use and improve.
