AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! We bought a 2016 orange wildtrak ford ranger a few weeks ago, it had supposedly had a full MOT just 6 days prior. It’s seemed great, accept the air con didn’t work (warranty wouldn’t cover). Took it a local garage to have it fixed, they discovered a multitude of problems, including unsafe brakes, corroded frame and the exhaust wasn’t even attached. The garage stated this was completely unsafe to drive, didn’t charge me and advised me to return the car. I rang Galtons, to discuss the findings. They were extremely unhelpful and rude. He told me the garage I used was dodgy and stated ‘ what you wanna do is love, is not buy a car from Scotland as all cars from Scotland are rusty due to the sea air’ ‘ bring it back and my MOT guy will prove your garage wrong’ This car has parts that look like they’ve been dug up from the titanic, more than just rust. My local garage advised it would need a whole new frame within a year or two. Took the car back to them ( 6 hour journey!) They made it hard work for a refund including taking my husband to the bank with them and short changing him by \xa3250! Safe to say the MOT isn’t being done properly or legally. Reported to trading standards and DVSA.

Conned. I wish I had read the reviews before dealing with this company! Bout a fridge van that was advertised as having 1 previous company owner, full serviceable and fridge in working order With 2 keys. I specifically asked (via text) if the van needed any work and if the fridge was working. I was told it’s all good to go and the fridge works as it should. The company dropped off the van at a reasonable rate. Reversed it into the drive and then couldn’t get away quick enough. Stating all the paperwork is in the glove box. Within 10 miles the amber DPF light was on and in limp home mode. The red oil pressure light came on too. 3 visits from the fridge engineer and I still don’t have a working fridge! The log book shows 3 previous owners, there was only 1 key, no receipt of sale provided and the van roof is rotten, so much so that water pours through the internal light fitting (which is hanging off and completely useless) inside the insulated container. I am, to say the least, extremely disappointed. I would urge anyone to think twice about dealing with this company. As I said, I wish I had read the reviews as it appears I am not the only one. I am left with a van that Is not fit for purpose and now massively out of pocket.
