Our late 2009 Honda Civic, is a genuine 79k mile car which is well presented and is powered by the superb 2.2 litre CTDI turbo diesel engine, with 6 speed manual gearbox. This model of Civic was launched in 2006 and was an extremely bold and futuristic design. From the space-age body design to the hidden rear door handles, and distinctive triangular twin tailpipes this car dares to be different. However, under the skin it is also a highly practical and capable family car with a spacious interior and a generous 485 litre boot. Hondas rear seats fold seamlessly and give you a completely flat floor - making this one of the most practical cars in its class. The car looks wide and squat, with a sporty stance and ''Hidden'' rear door handles which give it the smooth lines of a 3 door, with the practicality of a 5 door. On the subject of door handles, the ones up front look like something you would find on a 1950's American Fridge, and have a gloriously tactile feel. Inside out have a wide and spacious cabin with a futuristic digital dashboard, complete with rev-counter and an multifunction computer. There is a red ''start'' button to fire up the engine, which is a neat touch. These cars are smooth and quiet motorway cruisers which, thanks a 6 speed manual gearbox. The 140bhp turbo-diesel engine in this model offers excellent performance as well as good fuel economy. Handling is excellent, with a smooth, well dampered ride combined with Hondas traction and stability control for safe, well balanced handling on all road conditions. I personally find these cars a lot more involving and entertaining to drive than their rivals. Being a Honda, this is also among the most reliable cars on road with trustworthy mechanicals which will stand the test of time. In fact the trade have always regarded these cars as the most reliable and well built cars on the market. These cars are one of the most reliable hatchbacks on the market and this example looks to have been particularly well cared-for. Even the alloy wheels are unmarked and shod with premium-brand rubber. The bodywork is excellent and the car looks to have been garaged by its previous keeper - In fact the only imperfection we noted were some very light marks to the paintwork at the bottom of the tailgate which look to be where the previous owner opened the tailgate against his garage door - I think we can love with that in exchange for an otherwise perfectly presented car.
