The Maserati Quattroporte was first revealed in 1963. It was the first production Maserati with more than two doors and the first to be powered by a V8 engine. The Pietro Frua designed, full-sized sports saloon kicked off an almost unbroken run of this luxury car which is now well into its sixth iteration. Fifth generation Quattroporte production spanned from 2003 to 2012, styled by Pininfarina, it is considered one of the best-looking four-door saloons ever and was the most successful Quattroporte evolution to date with over 25,000 manufactured. The Quattroporte was based on the same underlying platform as the popular GranTurismo and GranCabrio models and, like them, was powered by V8 units from sister company Ferrari. All variants were fitted with a 395bhp 4.2 litre V8.Originally registered on 9th June 2004, this Maserati was supplied by Carrs Ferrari in Exeter. Finished in the great colour combination of metallic blue with magnolia leather trim piped in blue, it is accompanied by the original service books, a V5 registration document and a current valid MoT test certificate. This is a stylish genuine four-seater GT that offers performance and prestige under one banner. The 4.2 litre engine is responsive and the automatic gearbox operates as it should. The interior is an area of beauty, with ample leather and great ergonomics.
