RING FOR DETAILS 07971 086899 A handsome evocation of the iconic American roadster, powered by a muscular V8 engine. Under the bonnet is the naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V8, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. This Cobra replica has covered just 3,111 miles since it was completed. The engine was rebuilt by JRV8 in 2021; finished, tuned and dyno tested by Mass Racing in 2022. The car has been with the seller for 29 years, and was registered as a Gardner Douglas in 1996 following its build. The donor vehicle (Jaguar XJ6) was registered in December 1977 and is now exempt from road tax. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The car is finished in blue with twin chrome roll hoops. The cabin features a full blue leather interior piped in grey, with blue Triumph Spitfire seats reupholstered during the cars build, and blue carpets piped in grey. The cabin features Smiths gauges, toggle switches, and a Sparco steering wheel. It rides on a set of 16-inch three-piece split-rim Halibrand alloy wheels finished in black with a polished lip and shod in Yokohama tyres. There are underslung stainless-steel twin exhausts with stainless headers and stainless water header tank. The car is fitted with Jaguar XJ6 axles and brakes, Protech Shocks adjustable suspension, and a Rover LT77 gearbox. Included in the sale is a blue mohair hood plus wet side screens. Accompanying the sale is a Rover V8 SDI engine handbook, a Jaguar Daimler XJ6 Haynes Owners Artworx replaced the alternator and inspected the vehicle in April 2023 at 3,062 miles. The engine was finished, tuned, dyno and rolling road tested by Mass Racing in 2022 (video and dyno test graphs available). The engine was rebuilt and upgraded by JRV8 2021 (full specification available). It has been regularly serviced by local garages performing maintenance, safety checks and preparation for MOT tests (invoices available). Gardner Douglas fitted new roll bars, replaced the shock absorbers, fitted a new hood, sorted miscellaneous faults, road tested and performed a full vehicle set-up in 2010.
