Gloss black trim, larger alloys, and a contrasting roof lend it a sporty edge, while inside, Volvo’s signature clean, minimalist cabin design impresses. Soft-touch materials, supportive sports seats and the vertically-oriented touchscreen lend a premium, tech-savvy feel.Despite the “estate†badge, this is more crossover than classic wagon – think high driving position, ample cabin space, and a 452-litre boot that expands generously with the rear seats down. It’s practical enough for families, yet compact enough for city streets.On the move, the XC40 is composed and comfortable. The experience at Vertu Volvo Taunton was great because I was able to find out everything I needed about the car I was looking to purchase and when I couldn't find the right spec in the Taunton branch, they helped me source a car from nearby and then ensured that ot would be sorted to the expected standard. It did mean bringing it back in a couple of times but everything that I asked for was fixed and sorted.
My experience at Vertu Volvo Taunton could have been better because Within two weeks of purchase a red error light flashed on the dash of my XC40 recharge twin, This occurred twice before I phoned reception and asked for sales to call me, sales have not yet returned my call, I was then Put through to service reception to have this warning light looked into, where I was told the earliest they could look at this fault was in three weeks time on the 28th of August, and if I wanted a replacement vehicle while my vehicle was in the workshops it would be at least six weeks before the fault on my new purchase could be looked at, When I said that I wasn't particularly happy with that And asked “what if it was something seriously wrong with the car?” I was told Oh well if it breaks down you can have it recovered directly to us and we'll look at it then! All in all I am not particularly impressed with this level of customer service, lovely competent sales staff but it looks like once they've got the 26K the level of service seems to drop off somewhat shall we say, so no I will not be recommending virtual Volvo Taunton and will be reserving judgement until after the fault on my vehicle has been looked into and hopefully resolved
Although my experience at Vertu Volvo Taunton was memorable because of the high quality of the salesman involved, I was disappointed and frustrated that when the car was delivered it had marks on the drivers seat, the boot paintwork and the bonnet. We had been promised that the car woul be polished externally and cleaned and sealed internally. There were traces of sealant in the door cupholders and the paperwork and polish kit were only delivered days later. Not impressed.
