We arranged to view a car on a Sunday for my daughter’s first car . He wasn’t very helpful, and said we couldn’t test drive , unless we was buying. We had cash to buy ! Then he said , legally she couldn’t test drive as she only passed her test a month ago ? We went to 2 other garages and test drove 3 other cars and bought one. Not professional, helpful or came across as trustworthy. Avoid !!

Do not buy from this con artist at any cost, i bought a DS3 from james 6months ago, every month something has gone wrong with it. Car came with a clean MOT and full inspection done by nicky butt at MER-TEK (who happens to be james' mate), the inspection forgot to mention the rusted sills, rear wheel drum corrossion and baring that had welded itself together, the gearbox oil leak, bottom arm + track rod end damage and a clutch that has only had 7months in it. James has repaired the sills, but covered up the bottom arm and track rod end with copper grease rather than fixing them, all other issues im having to fix myself. Constant calls to my finance company who are now coming out to review the car due to the corroded arches that he covered up with spray paint rather than rust treating them, and the gearbox and clutch issues. All his cars from what i see on the reviews are not fit for purpose. Please do not buy from this guy, he's an absolute nightmare to get hold of, he's never at his dealership, and the MOT and inspection from his mate Nicky are not worth the paper it's written on. Nearly \xa34000 for a car that if i was to fix all the issues james and his mate Nicky have covered up would amount to basically the cost of the car, if you buy a car from james from my experience and others on here prepare to fix within the first 6 months: Abs censors. Track rod ends. Bottom arms. Corroded sills. Corroded arches. Drop links. Both front wheel baring. Rear drums/barings and shoes. Gearbox. Clutch. Save yourselves the headache and stay clear of James.

Not going to outright say avoid this place but just be prepared to have to do a lot more yourself than first anticipated. We agreed on the car having a full tank of petrol in (which it didn’t, it was only 1/4 full) and I had the hassle of trying to sort out my own vehicle logbook after they hadn’t sent it off, which they assured me they would. He seemed a nice enough guy at first but after them ignoring my emails and calls about the logbook that they never responded to I’m not so sure. My car hasn’t had his MOT yet so we will see what happens when that time comes. Just tread carefully and save all your documents.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish , James went above and beyond, a really nice guy to deal with and extremely helpful. The car was MOTd, serviced and valeted before I received it and also came with a warranty . Over the moon with it! Would definately use again . Thank you

Go to this place knowing you are going to have to get your new car serviced afterwards. I put a deposit on my first car and it took them 3 weeks to finally be ready to hand her over after doing the car's MOT and having it's rear break pads replaced with NO advisories given. fast forward 2 months and the front break pads are nearly worn out and the hand break cable needing to be replaced and when the mechanic checked the rear breaks they were done poorly needing to be serviced. This is just my story take from it what you want and I hope this is a one off though over reviews tell me otherwise.

Absolutely excellent service, from seeing the car to driving it home in a week, full MOT and warranty, the car was valeted and looks and drives great. James was very helpful and went above and beyond to get the car to us. Fantastic service where nothing was too much trouble, I definitely recommend Auto Select and will use them again. Thanks again 👍

Thanks to all the effort James has put in, to getting my mother’s new car shipped to her on my behalf, both of us could not be happier with all he’s done, brilliant communication and there to help at anytime. Recommended to all 👍 …

Don't bother to buy from here substandard vehicles that are not serviced therefore may not be roadworthy, may cost you dearly and you run the risk of a fine and points on your license. James attitude is it's sold the car is your problem, quick to take your money not quick to resolve any faults or listen to you as a customer. But at your peril.
