The Volvo estate car range includes the mid-size V60 and the large V90. Both are also available as Cross Country models that have higher suspension and extra SUV-inspired design features. Both V60 and V90 models are very practical and offer a range of trims as well as petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid options.

The biggest Volvo estate is the V90. It has a boot capacity of 560 litres, which increases to 1,526 litres when you fold down the rear seats. That’s a little less boot space than in some rivals such as the Mercedes E-class or Audi A6 Avant, but it’s still enough for four large suitcases or a pair of large dogs. The V60 is almost as spacious, with a boot capacity of 529 litres with the back seats in place and 1,441 litres with them folded.

Whether you choose the V60 or V90, a Volvo estate gives you a very practical car with a beautifully crafted interior that has a true premium feel. All versions of each car are very comfortable thanks to a smooth ride and supportive seats, while the wide range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid power options available offers something for everyone.

Prices for Volvo’s estate models are roughly on a par with equivalent Audi, BMW and Mercedes models. The V60 and V90 are both very well equipped, with lots of standard features and an especially high standard of safety equipment.
