Thinking of buying a used Vauxhall Mokka X?

Cazoo has a range of Vauxhall Mokka X cars for sale. If you're thinking of buying or financing a used Vauxhall Mokka X, we answer any questions you might have below.

The style of the car

The Vauxhall Mokka X is a five-door hatchback with chunky SUV styling. It gives you the best of both worlds - a high seating position and a great view of the road, with the compact dimensions that make it really easy to drive.

How it drives

The Mokka X is designed for comfort rather than a sporty drive, and its soft suspension means you’ll get a smooth ride rather than an exciting one. Its engines do a great job of balancing performance with economy. With parking sensors and a ‘Hill Start’ system (which helps you pull away on steep slopes) as standard, the Mokka X is also easy to drive around town. The four-wheel-drive version also makes a good tow car for smaller trailers.

The interior

Despite being based on the smaller Corsa, the Mokka X is surprisingly practical with room for five adults. Its main advantage is that it’s significantly higher than rivals, making it better for taller passengers and easier to climb in and out of than a normal hatchback. It also has a large boot and a range of accessories, such as luggage dividers and nets to secure your shopping.

Running costs and reliability

The Mokka X is affordable to run, with good fuel economy as well as low tax, insurance and maintenance costs. In JD Power’s 2019 UK Customer Satisfaction Awards, the Mokka X was named the most dependable car in its class, so buyers clearly appreciate its reliability too. Safety is excellent with a five-star Euro NCAP award.

How it compares with similar cars

The Mokka X is actually based on the Corsa, one of Vauxhall’s other models. Its main rivals are the Nissan Juke and the Renault Captur, though it generally costs less to buy than these cars. The Grandland X is its big brother, and buyers in need of more boot space should consider the larger model instead.
