Thinking of buying a used Seat Leon?

Cazoo has a range of Seat Leon cars for sale. If you're thinking of buying or financing a used Seat Leon, we answer any questions you might have below.

The style of the car

The Seat Leon is available in a wide range of body styles. There’s a regular five-door hatchback and estate. it also comes as a three-door model, a crossover estate version and the sporty Cupra. All of them look crisp and modern, providing plenty of practicality and driver enjoyment.

How it drives

The Seat Leon is a great car to drive. Turbocharged petrol and diesel engines deliver ample power with low fuel consumption. The driving position is excellent and it’s as comfortable for the driver as it is for passengers. It’s an easy car to live with too, with plenty of technology and compact dimensions to help with parking. It also has the ability to cruise over long distances effortlessly. Some models are even good for towing, particularly the estate and X-Perience crossover.

The interior

The Seat Leon is a compact hatchback that compares favourably with rivals when it comes to size. The five-door models are the most practical with lots of interior space and a boot that can easily cope with anything from daily shopping to a family week away, especially in the estate models. All versions provide ample space and storage for five adults. Equipment levels are generous, including adaptive cruise control, a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Cupra provides a sportier look and feel while the X-Perience is a good choice if you want a crossover estate.

Running costs and reliability

You’ll pay substantially less for a Leon than you would for a VW Golf on which the Leon is based, making it great value for money. Maintenance and running costs such as tax and insurance are on a par with rivals whether you’re buying a standard car or one of the excellent performance FR or Cupra versions. Reliability is similar to other Seat models and Euro NCAP gave the Leon a full five stars for safety.

How it compares with similar cars

The Seat Leon is larger than the Seat Ibiza providing greater interior space and luxury as well as more equipment. It’s on a par with the VW Golf in terms of style and practicality and matches the Ford Focus when it comes to the drive and comfort. It’s a former Auto Express Car of the Year and also won a What Car Best Used Family Car award.
