The style of the car

The BMW 1 Series is a three or five-door family hatchback which stands out from rivals thanks to its sporty stance and distinctive grille. M Sport versions add further appeal with bigger alloy wheels and special badges.

How it drives

If you like driving, the BMW 1 Series is an excellent family hatchback. Its firm suspension and excellent engines means it’s good fun and feels a little like a sports car to drive. Both the petrols and diesels deliver some of the best economy and lowest CO2 emissions in its class, meaning low tax bills.
