Customer stories: meet Luke

Back in May 2020, we delivered a Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet to Luke in Essex. Now, more than a year down the road, we caught up with him to see how he’s getting on with his car and how he feels about buying a used car from Cazoo.

Q: It’s great to catch up, Luke! We can't believe it's been more than a year since we delivered your Cazoo car. How's life been with it?

Luke: Life’s been absolutely grand! I’ve been loving driving in comfort and with the roof down in the hot weather. I love the automatic gearbox as well.


I’ve had no problems and it feels like a brand new car to be honest. Hopefully I’ll have this car for a while but when the time comes for me to replace it, I can’t see any reason why I’d go to a traditional car dealer – I’d just use Cazoo again. I don’t see why you wouldn’t. The service was absolutely amazing and I’m still buzzing all these months after receiving the car.

Q: What’s the best thing about your car?

Luke: The best thing about my car is that you can have the roof up or down, so you have the best of both worlds. It’s also got loads of gadgets on it and is overall a very cool car. When I bought it there were very few miles on it, so it felt practically brand new!

Q: What made you realise that this was the right car for you?

Luke: That’s a good question! I just liked the look of it, really. I saw it online and immediately thought ‘This is the car for me’.

Q: What did you do after your car arrived?

Luke: My commute is about 40 minutes long so I had a lot of time on the road to make sure it was right for me. I went on a few roadtrips last summer to see my friends. I went to Southend-on-Sea one weekend and that was lovely! 

I’ve had no bad experiences with it. Honestly, since it’s arrived it’s worked exactly as it should and I am so pleased with it. I’d never go back to a car dealership because in my experience there is always something wrong with the car after a few weeks or months and they just don't care. I wanted a car that I could get in and go and rely on it not to break down.

Q: How did you feel about buying a used car online?

Q: Did anything about Cazoo surprise you?

Just the service and how good it was. When I bought my car from Cazoo no one had really heard of it and now it’s a household brand and so popular. I think it’s the way forward!
