Yes you can. We’ll give you an instant valuation and a fair offer for your old car. Simply complete our online valuation form to receive your offer and we’ll then apply the amount to any new Cazoo purchase. As long as your car meets the conditions that need to be accepted in checkout, we’ll pick up your part exchange when we handover your Cazoo car.
We’ll take your current car off your hands at the same time you receive your Cazoo car, as long as it matches the description you provided.
We’ll give you an instant valuation online and the price you see won’t change. We also won’t add on any extra fees. We offer a transparent and haggle-free experience for our customers, so you can be sure that the valuation you receive is the best offer we can make.
We take into account a number of different factors, such as the make, model and key features, to make sure we’re offering an accurate part exchange price. This helps us to give you the best price. Unlike some companies, we won’t change the price as long as it matches the description you provided.
Yes, you can part exchange your current car if you have outstanding finance, as long as your part exchange valuation is higher than your outstanding finance. You’ll need to provide the correct settlement amount when you check out.
This is the total amount needed to pay off your loan in full. If you don’t have a settlement letter from your lender, you can call or email them to confirm the amount owed.
You can get your settlement letter by calling or emailing the lender you have your finance agreement with.
It’s important to tell us the exact amount owed (rather than an estimation), so we’re able to pay your lender the right amount once we’ve agreed to take your part exchange car.
We’ll need to know some basic information about your car and you’ll need to have your V5C document to hand. Please make sure that your V5C is a red certificate and not a blue one.
You can swap your blue V5C for a red one for free. You can do so by sending the original blue V5C to the DVLA or by calling them on 0300 790 6802. You’ll need to allow up to two weeks for your new V5C to be sent to you, otherwise we may need to postpone your car handover date.
You’ll need to contact the DVLA to request a new one. We can't accept your car for part exchange without a physical V5C.
Not yet, but we’re planning to offer this in the future - so stay tuned!
We’ll deduct your car’s part exchange value from the cost of your Cazoo car. You’ll be able to review this during the checkout process before you place your order.
We will value your car and will still take it as a part exchange.
When you part exchange your current car, you'll need to give us the V5C document. We'll then do an inspection and take it off your hands.
Once we have your part exchange car, it will pass through our inspection and reconditioning process. Then the car will either go onto the website for sale or be sold at auction.
You don’t need to cancel your road tax on a car that you’re part exchanging. Your car tax will be cancelled once the DVLA has been notified that the car has been sold to Cazoo.
If you have any unused car tax, excluding the month you cancelled in, you’ll automatically get a refund from the DVLA.
Once we pick up your old car the part exchange is final and you won’t be able get it back.
Currently, you can only part exchange one car during checkout.
You can’t negotiate on the price of your part exchange. We offer a transparent and haggle-free experience for our customers, so you can be sure that the valuation you receive is the best offer we can make.
