Popular questions about buying a car

Simply find your ideal used car on Cazoo, click ‘Get started’ and complete your order entirely online. You can choose whether you’d like to buy the car outright, apply for finance or part exchange your existing car. We’ll also need to collect your personal details and your payment details before you complete your purchase.

You can’t test drive our cars, but with our 7-Day Money Back Guarantee, you can return your Cazoo car within 7 days of your car handover date. If you change your mind for any reason, just let us know and we’ll pick it up and give you a full refund. 

We can’t accept a return if the car has been modified, been in an accident or is damaged or altered from the condition it was received in.

If you drive the car over the 250 mile limit during the first 7 days, every additional mile will cost £1 per mile alongside deductions for any damage incurred.

Yes you can! You can choose to collect your car from one of our Customer Centres, instead of having it delivered, if you’d prefer.

You can view the car inside and out with our 360-degree digital photography. It allows you to inspect the car from every angle. You’ll be able to see the car’s condition, key features and any imperfections.

If a car has any imperfections, we’ll highlight them in the car’s photos - just look out for the yellow warning sign. We aim to buff out any unsightly scratches or marks, but sometimes there will be imperfections which we can’t completely fix. Wherever this is the case, we’ll be upfront and tell you about it.

You can set up a stock alert by filling in some information. We’ll search for cars that match your needs and email you when we find ones we think you’ll like. 

Once you start your purchase, we’ll reserve it to make sure no one else can buy the car during this time. You can only hold one car in your basket at any one time.

You can’t buy a car as a gift. This is because the car will need to be registered to the owner and the delivery address and ID need to match the billing details of the person buying the car.  If you’re collecting your car from a Customer Centre, then the billing address and ID need to match the person buying the car. 

However, once you own the car or have completed your finance agreement, you can transfer the details of the V5C over to anyone you’d like to gift the car to.

If you’re not completely happy with the condition of the car when it’s delivered or when you collect it, we’ll be more than happy to help. We can either help you with repair work if needed or we can arrange a return if you don’t want to keep it within the first 7 days.

When we hand over your Cazoo car, you'll receive its service history alongside a welcome pack and a free selection of car goodies.

Yes, you can buy a Cazoo car if you pay in cash. You can use your EU driver's licence (and/or passport) along with a utility bill or bank statement which matches the UK billing address. 

At the moment, we can’t accept finance applications without a UK driver's licence.

All Cazoo cars have a minimum tread depth of at least 2.5mm across at least 80% of the width of the tyre which is above the legal limit.

The legal limit required for car tyres is a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm.
