Cazoo appoints Tommaso Debenedetti as Country Manager for Italy

Milan, 9 March 2022. Cazoo (www.cazoo.com), Europe’s leading online car retailer, which makes buying and selling a car as simple and seamless as ordering any other product online, has appointed Tommaso Debenedetti as Country Manager in Italy.

Tommaso has a strong digital and multinational track-record and was a Director of Amazon across Spain & Italy, since 2015. Prior to that he co-founded Intervieweb.com, which was successfully sold in 2019 to Gruppo Zucchetti. In the years before that, he was an associate partner of McKinsey & Company Italy, China, Australia, delivering digitalization and transformation programs to major European high-tech players.

Tommaso will join the European Leadership Team and will report into Cazoo’s European Managing Director, Abhishek Roy. He will be responsible for growing the team and business in Italy over the coming months as Cazoo executes on its European expansion following its recent acquisition of brumbrum.

Cazoo was founded in 2018 by British entrepreneur Alex Chesterman and is one of the fastest growing businesses in Europe, pioneering the shift to online car buying. It listed on the NYSE last year and has already built a world class team of over 4,000 across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Cazoo has sold over 50,000 cars online since its launch just over two years ago, as consumers have embraced the selection, value, transparency and convenience of buying used cars fully online. It launched in 2019 in the UK and more recently launched in France and Germany last December.
